June 2, 2023 — I officially joined United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829.

This wasn’t just paperwork. It was the culmination of years of commitment to scenic design — from my earliest productions in the Midwest, through graduate training at UC Irvine, to professional work across regional theatres, universities, and themed projects.

Becoming part of the union connects me to a larger network of designers, artisans, and collaborators. It also affirms the professional standard I’ve always aimed to uphold: design work that blends creativity, craft, and accountability.

This step is both a recognition of the work I’ve done and a reminder to keep striving forward in my career.
