Angel Street

The rendering work for Angel Street was about letting comfort and control occupy the same room, so the domestic image could slowly turn against the person living inside it.

A Drawing Room with Teeth

The room needed to feel credible, furnished, and socially polished, but never relaxed. Decorative richness was useful only if it also supported a sense of enclosure and constant observation.

That is where rendering becomes especially valuable on a piece like this: it helps test how much beauty the space can hold before beauty starts reading as pressure.

Psychology Through Detail

Scale, trim, furniture placement, and visual density all contribute to the emotional argument. The audience should feel that the room is meticulously kept and yet increasingly unsafe.

The image set clarifies that the design is not trying to illustrate gothic mood in the abstract. It is trying to make control visible through domestic order.
