Opening Night: Deathtrap at Okoboji Summer Theatre

July 2025Deathtrap by Ira Levin opened at Okoboji Summer Theatre as the sixth show of the season, delivering a sharp, suspenseful mystery full of twists and turns.

The Northwest Iowa Review praised my work on the scenic design:

Brandon PT Davis crafts another of the detailed, beautiful sets he has become known for. The study is rich and dark, with French doors, detailed built-ins, paneling, wainscoting, an open staircase and functioning fireplace.”

Reflection

Designing Deathtrap meant building a world full of shadows, secrets, and rich detail — a study that felt lived-in, yet ready to transform as the story unraveled. With French doors, built-ins, and a working fireplace, the set became a character in itself, holding the tension of every twist.
