American Idiot at UC Irvine Reviewed in The Show Report

November 2018 — I designed the scenic world for UC Irvine’s production of Green Day’s American Idiot, directed by Myrona DeLaney. The show was covered in The Show Report, which celebrated the intensity of the performance and acknowledged the design team’s contributions:

“Scenic Designer Brandon PT Davis rocked the set.”

The production called for an environment that felt raw, gritty, and adaptable — capturing the chaos of a post-9/11 generation while still supporting intimate character moments. Having that balance recognized in the review was a proud moment in my graduate training at UC Irvine.
