Brandon PT Davis is an experienced scenic designer and Assistant Professor of Scenic Design at Stephens College. With over 11 years of professional experience, he has designed over one hundred productions across the United States. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Art from Stephens College and a Master of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from the University of California, Irvine. His work as an Assistant Scenic Designer on various productions, including the off-Broadway play "The Fears," has allowed him to showcase his creative insights and technical skills. Brandon excels at conceptualizing and visualizing detailed scenic designs and is proficient in 3D modeling and rendering, particularly using Vectorworks. As a United Scenic Artists 829 member, Brandon upholds professional standards within the scenic design field.
In addition to his teaching position, Brandon continues to design for theater productions actively. Recent projects include "Loteria" and "Head Over Heels" at Theatre SilCo, where his scenic designs aimed to create immersive environments that enhanced the overall experience for the audience. He also contributed his design expertise to "Dial 'M' for Murder" at the Okoboji Summer Theatre, providing a visual backdrop for the classic mystery. Brandon's adaptability as a scenic designer allows him to work in various genres and styles, always striving to align his designs with the production's vision. With an open-minded approach and a dedication to collaboration, he invests time in understanding the text and the artists involved.
