Assisting Tom Buderwitz on The Play That Goes Wrong at Seattle Rep

The Play That Goes Wrong — Seattle Rep

August 28, 2025 — Tonight marked the opening of The Play That Goes Wrong at Seattle Rep, and I’m proud to say I served as an Assistant to scenic designer Tom Buderwitz—a mentor whose guidance I cherish.

The show runs in the Bagley Wright Theater from August 28 through September 28, 2025, and I’m excited to contribute behind the scenes in what promises to be a brilliant comedic ride (Seattle Rep listing). The role of Assistant is both hands-on and illuminating—I’ve been involved in everything from model plotting to live adjustments, working directly with Tom’s sharp eye for visual mischief that literally goes wrong in all the right ways.

Working with him has always felt like a master class: learning how to craft comedic mayhem, maintain technical integrity, and support actors in chaos with calm precision. It’s a powerful reminder that design is never just scenic—it’s collaborative, energetic, and alive.
