Body:
August 2025How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying opened at Okoboji Summer Theatre, wrapping up the company’s 67th season with office politics, satire, and plenty of laughs.

The review in Northwest Iowa Review highlighted my scenic design:

“Set designer Brandon PT Davis creates a grid-like system for the interior of the office. It has two functioning elevators and massive windows with the name of the company ‘World Wide Wickets’ painted in reverse so it appears you are looking out of the office building.”

Reflection

This show was a whirlwind of moving parts — two real elevators, fast scene changes between offices and rooftops, and the challenge of keeping the world visually dynamic while everything unfolded inside one corporate tower. Closing the season with such a sharp and witty musical felt like the right capstone for a summer of diverse storytelling.
