Scenic Design for Parliament Square — California Premiere at UCI

March 2019 — I’m honored that UCI’s Drama Department staged the California premiere of Parliament Square (March 9–17, 2019), written by James Fritz and directed by Jane Page (UCI Arts Press Release). I designed the set for this intense, timely piece—an emotionally driven, visually sparse space that reflected the play’s examination of protest, sacrifice, and truth.

This production asked big questions about belief and personal conviction. My design focused on stripping back to essentials—shadows, angles, and impactful simplicity—so the actors and audience would feel the urgency. I’m proud to have been part of a creative team that brought such a potent story to life in UCI’s Experimental Media Performance Lab.
