Making My SCR Debut: Million Dollar Quartet (2025)

August 2025 — I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve joined the creative team at South Coast Repertory for Million Dollar Quartet — marking my scenic design debut at SCR. I’ll be working as co-scenic designer alongside Efren Delgadillo Jr., whose experience in regional and festival design has guided me through some of the early stages. The show launches SCR’s 62nd season, opening on September 13, 2025, and playing through October on the Segerstrom Stage. It’s a high-energy musical based on the legendary jam session between Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins — a rock 'n’ roll moment immortalized in history and now on stage. Collaborating with this team at SCR feels like coming home — the level of craft, production value, and storytelling urgency is everything I’ve been working toward. Designing a set that brings that spontaneous, high-stakes energy of a jam session to life (with humor and intimacy) is a thrilling challenge.

I’m so grateful to David Ivers, Suzanne Appel, Kim Martin-Cotten, James Moye, and everyone at SCR for trusting me with this creative opportunity. I can't wait to see how the audience responds to the world we're building on stage.
