New Role at UTEP — Assistant Professor of Scenic Design & Technology

December 2020 — I’m excited to step into a new position as Assistant Professor of Scenic Design & Technology at the University of Texas at El Paso. For now, I’ll remain in Chicago and teach online remotely as the university navigates the realities of COVID.

Starting next month I’ll be teaching three classes:

  • THEA 2301: Principles of Scenery

  • THEA 2304: Theatre Graphics & Technology

  • THEA 3321: Advanced Technical Solutions

The department is also hoping to mount its first in-person production since the pandemic began — Lysistrata — which I’ll be designing.

It’s a strange time to begin a new academic chapter, but I’m looking forward to connecting with students and colleagues in El Paso and to the chance to keep growing as both a designer and educator.
